You know you're a pro when...

...you get a free haircut!

Chesley is definitely living the life of a pro. Yesterday, the players in the NGA Hooters Tour were treated to free haircuts! Hopefully Chesley will be looking pretty spiffy when he tees off in the morning at 7:18.

On another note, we would like to extend a special thank you to Steve and Annie Johnson. For the past week, they have played host to Chesley during his stay in Tallahassee. They have fed him, entertained him, and provided him with a very comfortable place to stay. We really appreciate their hospitality and help in making this a wonderful experience for Chesley!

Quick Recap and Update!

I just wanted to fill everyone in on the results from the Peach State Professional Golf Tour Winter Series tournament at the Country Club of Mount Dora. After a strong first day, Chesley went into Day 2 of the tournament with a -1 par at a score of 70. However, windy conditions and a few struggles on the putting green put Chesley with a score of 75 for the final day. He finished the tournament with a 145, tied for 10th.

He loaded up and headed back to Valdosta for just long enough to catch up on some sleep and do some laundry.

Yesterday he headed to Tallahassee, FL to qualify for the 2011 Killearn Country Club Classic with the National Golf Associations' Hooters Pro Golf Tour. With his favorite caddy by his side (our dad), Chesley shot a strong even par (72). This qualified him for the event that will officially begin on Thursday, March 3rd.

First one under the belt!

As of this afternoon, Chesley has sucessfully competed in his first professional golf tournament!

On Monday morning, Chesley was scheduled to tee off at 7:30. After a day of windy conditions, he finished his first 18 with a score of 75 (3+ par). This morning he had a slightly later tee time and a lengthy delay for foggy conditions. However, this did not stop Chesley from finishing the day with a score of 71 (-1 par).

All in all, Chesley finished 5th with a final +2 for the tournament.

His good friend and former Valdosta State teammate, Wade Holland, finished right there with him - tied for 5th. The boys have packed up and are heading to Mount Dora, FL. They will each have a practice round tomorrow and then compete in Tournament #12 of the Peach State Professional Golf Tour's Winter Series on Thursday and Friday.

News from sunny Florida!

The time is here!  Chesley will be playing in his first professional tournament this Monday and Tuesday (February 21-22).  He will be participating in the Peach State Professional Golf Tour Winter Series event at Plantation Palms Golf Club in Land O' Lakes, FL.

He completed his first practice round this afternoon and will be teeing off at 7:30 in the morning!  

During his stay in the Sunshine State, Chesley will also be competing in the PSPGT Winter Series event at The  Country Club of Mount Dora on February 24-25.
